Starting this quarter, ClearBlade began a new versioning pattern to clearly indicate each release date and identify the direct blue-green update support term. While we will continue the nebula-based labels, this release is 2025.1.0. This quarter marked a strong start to the year, delivering long-requested edge management features, security integrations, and enhanced usability in Intelligent Assets.

Google Auth: Easily migrate your email to use Google Authentication to ensure a common Single Sign-On provider.

IoT Enterprise and Edge

Remote Edge Shell Session: Using the existing secure outward edge to cloud connection, you can now create a shell session with any connected Edge and run commands remotely on the underlying Linux Operating System. 

Asymmetric Key Library: Generate keys from a ClearBlade library to enable cloud-based device provisioning.

Local Priority Processing: Device connections will now be prioritized to have stream service processing done on the broker that holds the connection. This reduces internal network traffic and ensures optimal performance.  

Cache Dependency Reduction: Reduced dependencies on cache for broker connection to enable additional blue-green updates support.

Intelligent Assets

Merge Areas with Assets: We’ve streamlined your workflow by combining assets and areas into a single entity type. Now, all areas will be found on the Assets page.

Delayed Dashboard Fetch: This optional setting allows dashboards to load faster by requiring a tab filter selection before fetching data.

Audit Trail: Boost productivity by keeping track of sign-ins, sign-outs, and system modifications, such as edits to an asset or rule.

Threshold Mapping for Timestamp Columns in Dashboard Tables: Dashboard table widgets now support threshold mapping for “Date/Time” fields, allowing value mappings like “Before,” “After,” or “Between” specific times.

Ancestor Group Tab Filter for Dashboards: Filtering by ancestor groups is now available for dashboard tab filters.

Display Open Events in Asset List and Table Views: Assets with open events will now display an open event badge, showing the highest severity event in the list and table views on the Assets page.
