ClearBlade Box Product Release

January 7, 2025

On January 7, 2025, ClearBlade released the latest version of our award-winning IoT software, Box. This quarter brings significant new Intelligent Assets improvements for extensibility and capability while IoT Enterprise continues improving streaming flexibility and supporting large fleet production workloads. Learn more about the features below.

IoT Enterprise and Edge

Apache Kafka and Pulsar Native Connectors: ClearBlade has extended its native streaming integration library to support rapidly mapping MQTT topics into producers and consumers in Apache Kafka data streams and into Apache Pulsar data streams.

IoT Enterprise Terraform Module: ClearBlade has made publicly available a terraform module to setup an IoT Enterprise Kubernetes cluster in a private Google Cloud environment.

Edge Remote APIs: Server side based APIs are now available to remotely wipe an existing edge database, modify edge configurations and to issue shell commands.

Code Service Log Levels: Code services can now set log levels to quickly review running production information without impacting larger performance in an environment.

Intelligent Assets

Components: Components allow for adding functions into Intelligent Assets for the backend logic, and the user interface, which looks, feels, and behaves natively in the app. With Components, users can deploy specialized functionality such as device protocol integrations, AI models, or pre-built dashboard templates, streamlining operations and enabling advanced capabilities without requiring technical expertise.

Anomaly Detection: ClearBlade introduces built-in anomaly detection from an operator viewpoint. Simply select attributes you wish to monitor for anomalies and ClearBlade will train a unique model for the environment based on historical and live data. The model will then automatically go live with direct integrations into rules and alerts.

Asset Reporting Status:Reporting status” is an optional metadata field on the Asset Details page that indicates whether an asset has been reported within a specified time interval.

System setting for group filter behavior: The Groups page now has filters to allow you to search for groups in specific map boundaries.

Rule Formulas: Rule formulas allow attributes to be compared to other attributes within the same asset.

Calculated Attributes: This new feature allows you to select attributes from child assets or the self asset and write custom formulas to compare their attribute values.

Attribute Categories: The new “Categories” feature for asset types allows you to organize attributes and controls into custom categories. You can add, rename, reorder, and delete categories, offering greater flexibility for managing and displaying an asset’s attributes.

Editable Dashboard Table Columns: Dashboard table widgets are more customizable, allowing you to edit the order and names of table columns.
